Death Cafe

DEATH CAFE - GATHERING

Death Cafes began springing up around the country in 2011 to “increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives”. Designed for adults, these cafesprovide a space for group-directed discussions about death with no predetermined agenda, objectives, or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session. (This event is held with acknowledgment of the Day of the Dead, a time set aside to honor loved ones who have transitioned.)

DATE: Saturday, Nov.1 TIME: 10am-noon. CONTRIBUTION: $20

FACILITATOR: Tom Poole is an End-of-Life Doula, as well as a licensed Spiritual Practitioner at LOTM. In 2023, Tom obtained his doula certification through the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance, following training with the Peaceful Presence Project in Bend, Oregon. Tom’s mission is simple: To serve those around him by offering clarity and understanding and giving light, love and guidance along the way.
