Advocates Skills for Success Employability Program is having it's graduation ceremony and luncheon at 12 noon, Friday, April 20th. This is the completion of the second 12 week program for women in poverty to enhance their ability to get a good job and build a new future for themselves and their children.

Exceptional meditation teacher John Travis will give an
evening talk at Light on the Mountains Spiritual Center
near Ketchum. John is a nationally respected Buddhist
meditation teacher in the vipassana (mindfulness or
insight) tradition. Vipassana is a vehicle for opening the
heart, and living in a peaceful and free way.
John is a generous, open hearted and wise teacher whose teachings reflect Dharma
experiences going back 35 years, ten of which were spend in Asia studying with recognized
masters of both Theravadan and Tibetan traditions. He is a senior teacher for Spirit Rock
Meditation Center, a Buddhist retreat center in Marin County, CA founded by Jack Kornfield.
John is also the founding teacher of Mountain Stream Meditation Center in Nevada City, CA.
John has a private practice as a meditation counselor and is trained in Hakomi body-centered
therapy. John is known for his extraordinary heart and nondual teachings that point towards
freedom here and now.
